Hosted at the Palace Hotel, this fundraising gala is our signature event in California. Not only will we celebrate our incredible Always Reading families, but we’ll gather to ensure that our early literacy and family engagement work continues for years to come.

You’re invited to join us on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the historic Pacific Club in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, to celebrate the work of Always Dream across the Hawaiian Islands. It will be a night filled with Aloha as we gather to raise funds so we can continue to bring life-changing literacy and family engagement resources to keiki and their caregivers all across Hawaiʻi.

A collaboration between Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream, Children’s Discovery Museum and the San José Public Library Foundation, the Family Literacy Festival is a day to celebrate the importance of reading. Families can enjoy all the Museum has to offer with celebrity and author story readings, hands-on activities and art projects, and family-friendly entertainment.
