A collaboration between Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream, Children’s Discovery Museum and the San José Public Library Foundation, the Family Literacy Festival is a day to celebrate the importance of reading. Families can enjoy all the Museum has to offer with celebrity and author story readings, hands-on activities and art projects, and family-friendly entertainment. You’re invited to join us on Saturday, October 11th for our 2025 Annual Gala in San Francisco! Hosted at the Palace Hotel, this fundraising gala is our signature event in California. Not only will we celebrate our incredible Always Reading families, but we’ll gather to ensure that our early literacy and family engagement work continues for years to come.
