Students Meet Olympic Reading Challenge

Figure skating Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi, who founded the nonprofit Always Dream Foundation, read her children’s book “Cara’s Kindness” and presented completion certificates to participating students. The program promotes family engagement and at-home reading by providing families with preschool and kindergarten children with tablets, access to a digital library and coaching. In the 2024-25 school year, the program has served nearly 2,500 students and family members statewide.
